The decoration features more pools of honey, along with a new brown honeycomb block design. At 8%, the level transitions into a spider section with a few tight timings, as well as orbs and jump pads. During this section, the player has the option of enabling LDM or ULDM. The background features a silhouette of a bee that rotates with the music, as well as a pinwheel effect. There are large pools of honey, as well as several hexagonal orbs (every orb in the level is hexagonal). Three days after his first preview of B, Motleyorc uploaded a second preview.

In the description of this video, Motleyorc stated, "This level started out as a meme, but it's turning out amazing!". On the same day, Motleyorc uploaded a video called "B Preview I", in which he played through ScorchVx's first part. Four days later, ScorchVx uploaded an extended sneak-peek of the level, which showcased his completed first part. This video showcased the completed first cube of the level. On May 3, 2017, ScorchVx uploaded a video titled "B (sneak peek)".

They finalized the name as "B", and began to work on the gameplay. ScorchVx asked if he could help, which Motleyorc agreed to. On February 17, 2017, Motleyorc sent ScorchVx a Discord message, explaining that he wanted to make a bee-themed boss-fight level.
